Cable Street Collective
Summer 2019 was the biggest yet for London-based six-piece Cable Street Collective. Building on the critical hype and radio play (on the likes of BBC Radio 6Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio, among others) generated by their second EP, Where Now From Here? they spent the summer touring extensively – playing at Glastonbury, Shambala Festival as well as a whole host of smaller festivals and venues up and down the country. Now see them at Leweston Live
2019 has been a hell of a year for the super-smoky-voiced, hard-working, far-touring chanteuse Elles Bailey. On 8th March, she dropped her eagerly-anticipated second album ‘Road I Call Home’ to rave reviews, with the album charting in the Official UK Country Charts & Americana charts, gaining over 1.3 million streams since its release and reaching No.1 on the Amazon Blues Bestseller chart. Come and witness her country tones in our glorious country setting.
Sharps and Flats
Over their time together, the band have made their presence known all around the world, including multiple tours in Australia, Europe and around the UK. Festival appearances at Nashville Meets London, Cambridge Folk, Isle of Wight, Larmer Tree – to name just a few. 2020 is a new album year for Flats and Sharps – a wonderful collection of songs that is sure to only increase their popularity as a highly skilled Bluegrass outfit.
Huw and the Greater Good
Assembled by members from each corner of the UK, alternative/indie/folk group Huw & the Greater Good came together in Leeds in 2017, bonded by a love of classic and contemporary groups, including Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Cage the Elephant and The Water Boys. Fronted by the uncompromisingly powerful and soulful voice of Huw Eddy, their live show is lauded as a liberating and empowering experience. YouTuber Ryan Cassata’s enthusiastic review of the group indicted that they make you want to “dance with your lover and feel on top of the world. In the short time they’ve been together they’ve stolen the hearts of audiences from the stages of Boom Town Fair and Beautiful Days Festivals, in support of Molotov Jukebox, Tom Odell and folk legends Mad Dog Mcrea as well as via BBC Radio Scotland where they were playlisted in 2018.
Still Moving DJs
The Still-Moving DJs are a lively and unique duo with an eclectic selection of records by great musicians. With live percussion, ship lanterns, gramophones, tankards and dinosaurs a-plenty, they’ll raise the roof of any venue and we are so excited to have them close our festival for 2020.
