Read about how this dog-licious ice cream is helping abandoned animals…

With this last week being a bit of a scorcher, many of us have turned to the contents of our freezers for some comfort and cool relief. In Leweston’s Cedars Cafe, the scene has been no different…

We have a fantastic selection of ice creams available which have been flying off the shelves, but the clever people at Marshfield Farm haven’t forgotten about our furry friends. The four-legged visitors to Leweston have been getting their chops around some special doggy ice cream!

‘Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs’ is a side-line from Marshfield Farm’s usual produce. It is a specially made product ideal for dogs as it contains Glucosamine (for joint care), Vitamin C (for their immune system), Omega 3 (for a lovely glossy coat) and has reduced fat, sugar and lactose content – all this makes for a very happy and healthy puppy!

And that’s not even the best part!

Marshfield Farm have announced that a portion of the profit from sales of Scoop’s Ice Cream go towards supporting local independent charity Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary. Holly Hedge rescue and re-home around 800 animals every year. Their brilliant team of volunteers rely entirely on goodwill to keep up the important work of making sure that mistreated, abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs find their purrfect forever home.
